1330: Petition by David de TILLEBERY addressed to the King
Requests payment for wheat taken from him without payment by Henry COUPER (baker to the King) for the use of the King.

Endorsement:
"Let it be ordered to the keeper of the Wardrobe that he view the tally and call COUPER before him, and if he finds that the sum is due then he should make payment."

NA website commentary:
"The petition is dated to? c.1330 on the basis of a writ of aid granted to COUPER following his appointment as one of the purveyors of the household of Queen Philippa, and the hand would suggest that the petition is not too distant from this date (CPR 1330-4, p.8)."
