Wilste Pioneer Cemetery
We have just finished our work unearthing this abandoned cemetery, The Wiltse Pioneer Cemetery, near Athens, Leeds Co., Ontario. The earliest burial is 1795. It is on our Col. Edward Jessup web site and we would like it put on your site, if possible. There is the history of it and pictures of about a dozen stones found. The rest are all field stone markers.

Burritts Rapids Anglican Church
This is the Cairn at the Burritts church. My ancestors settled in the Burritts Rapids area from the US and a few are here. The rest are in the main churchyard in the village. GPS location: N 44 59' 01.43" - W 75 47' 54.15"

McGuigan Cemetery
This cemetery was forgotten and during a restoration was cleaned up and now looks quite nice. Not many people in the Ottawa area even know of its existence. This has not been used for some years. GPS Location: N 44 56' 02.00" - W 75 49' 25.87"
Final resting place of Robert Campbell, (Rueben's brother) and his wife are there. Also a Richard Bolton. This Cemetery is located at Burritts, South of the bridge and a mile and a half West, past the home of William Campbell, and on South side of road. It is the oldest cemetery in this part of Canada north of the St Lawrence River. Most of the graves are unmarked and some are the people who worked on the Rideau Canal who died from accidents and Malaria. Some markers are just a simple field stone.
