DUFAULT -- Pierre and Sylvia (nee Proulx) are happy to announce the birth of a son, Joseph Francois Pierre, on Nov. 1, 1965, at General Hospital.

GRIFFITH -- Charles and Elaine (nee Scharfe) announce the birth of Janey Pearl, 7 lbs., 7 ozs. A sister for Karen, Stephen and Nansi at Winchester Hospital, Tuesday, Nov 2, 1965. Everybody happy.

GRIFFITHS -- To Mr. and Mrs. Tony Griffiths (nee Nan Armstrong) a daughter on Monday Nov. 1, 1965, in London, England. Both well.

HEATON -- Jack and Helen are pleased to announce the birth of a son, David Richard, 7 lbs., 11 ozs., Nov. 2, 1965, at Ottawa Civic Hospital. A brother for Julie, Danny and Jan. Thanks again Dr. Carson.

BARTON, Evelyn May -- In hospital, Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1965, Eve May Mulligan, beloved wife of Frederick James Barton of Ottawa, in her 81st year; also 2 grandchildren, Gary of RCAF, Germany, and Warren of Toronto; sister of Raymond Mulligan of Ottawa, Mrs. Walter Carruthers (Elsie), Chesterville, Mrs. Fred Thayer (Lillian) of Aylwin, Que., Mrs. Asa Armitage (Ida) of Edmonton. BIRCH, Ronald Henry -- Suddenly at Nassau, New Providence, on Sunday, Oct. 31, 1965, Ronald Henry Birch, husband of Anna Goodhew, in his 52nd year; dear father of Wendy and Mrs. Michael Kelly (Carole); son of Mrs. Ethel Birch of Halifax; brother of William of Halifax. SWEETAPPLE, Annie -- In hospital, Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1965, aged 73 years, Annie Sweetapple, loving mother of Mrs. T. Hill, 1013 Wiseman Crescent. Remains left Veitch-Draper Ltd. to rest at Carnell's Funeral Home, at St. John's, Newfoundland, for service and interment Saturday.

WILLIS, Samuel Leland -- In Chalmers Memorial Hospital, Smiths Falls, Tuesday, Nov. 2. 1965. Samuel Leland Willis, age 71, beloved husband of Florida Charlebois and the late Ellen Morton McMullen; dear father of Cecil Edmund, of Portland; William Ernest, of Ottawa, and of Gladys Mabel, Louise, Barbara, Eric, Holly and Margaret Jean at home. Also survived by his sister, Mrs. Ross H. Wilde (Gladys) of Ottawa. Resting at A. L. Campbell Funeral Home at Elgin. WATSON, Thomas -- In Renfrew Hospital, Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1965, Thomas James Watson of Douglas, Out, in his 85th year. Resting at the Cochrane - Anderson Funeral Home, Renfrew, for service on Thursday, Nov. 4, at 2 p.m. Interment in Douglas cemetery.

OBITUARIES

ROUSSELLE, George William -- At Arnprior Hospital on Oct. 27, 1965, aged 63 years, beloved husband of Lourdes Tracey who survives. Mr. Rousselle was born in Renfrew, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Rousselle, and attended school there, later moving to Arnprior where he was employed at Measurement Engineering Ltd. and was a member of Holy Name Society of St. John Chrysostom Church, Arnprior. He is survived by a son, George James, of Toronto, one daughter, Mrs. Glen Crozier (Aileen), of Renfrew; one brother, Wilfred, Renfrew, and two sisters, Mrs. Lucille Wheeler, Simcoe, and Mrs. Milena Nichols, Brantford. Father Flynn celebrated Solemn Requiem High Mass at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Renfrew, on Oct. 30, assisted by Father Quinn and Father Rice. Burial was in Renfrew.
