Had two other brothers in law enforcement, Jim Sheriff on Fayette County, Texas and Buck who was a Texas Ranger. Nov 4, 1952 elected re-elected Nov 2, 1954 " Nov 6, 1956 " Nov 8, 1960 " Nov 3, 1964 President Sheriff's Association 1966 " Nov 5, 1968 "Nov 7, 1972 " Nov 2, 1976 served until December 29, 1978 when he died in a Wharton Hospital. Sheriff Flournoy served a total of 25 years, eleven months and twenty -nine days.He served Wharton County as Sheriff longer than any other Sheriff in it's history.
