MAGNET


The citizens of Magnet all
turned out to the Christmas
tree Saturday evening at the
new school house. The house
was crowded and everyone pres-
ent joined in the Christmas
spirit and had a good time.

Rev. Williford of Matagorda
filled his appointment here Sun-
day a.m. and evening.

Mrs. George Starrett is in
the Caney Valley Hospital to
undergo an operation for ap
pendicitis.

Mr. Herman Wilkinson of
Shelby, La., is spending the
week with his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. E. Wilkinson.

Mr. V.A. Naylor was a Hous-
ton visitor Monday Afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Cockrell
of Burr spent Christmas with
their son, John, and family

Mr. B.M. Griffith left for St.
Louis last week to spend the
holidays.

Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Spangler
and family and Mr. and Mrs.
Mac Conley of Bay City spent
Christmas with the D.S. Bailey
family.

Mr. E. Chiles and family of
Citrus Grove spent Christmas
with Mrs. Chiles' parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Drenner.

Mrs. H.E. Blanton visited
Wharton Wednesday.

Miss Edna Mae Drenner is
visiting her sister, Mrs. Chiles,
this week.

The little Misses Aylene and
Lucile Gordon were Bay City
visitors Tuesday.
