Foreman is brother of William Ambrose Crawford, descendants of Alstonville's 1867 Selector William Crawford.

In it, he asked that someone should take over the task of recording the growth of the district and this we, the Alstonville Plateau Historical Society - with the invaluable assistance of our many contributors - have attempted to do.
