What is a BMD?

BMD is an acronymn for Birth, Marriage or Death records. If you're new to research, you might want to first read our Tutorial, to acquaint yourself with the different records available for Wigtownshire research.

While the intention of this list is to help Wigtownshire researchers, we would like to point out the existence of a very useful, larger site devoted to Scotland BMDs, called the Scotland BDM Exchange, which we urge you to visit.
