GRAFTON - William H. Nason Jr., 73, of 18 Creeper Hill Road, North Grafton
died yesterday in The
Medical Center of Central Massachusetts - Hahnemann in Worcester.
He leaves his wife of 49 years, Jean (Davenport) Nason; a son, Donald
F. Nason of Millbury; a
daughter, Bonnie Jean Frederico of Grafton; two brothers, Forrest C.
Nason of North Grafton and
Clyde S. Nason of Easthampton, N.Y.; and five grandchildren. He was
born in Upton, son of William
H. and Blanche (Foley) Nason, and has lived in Grafton for 69 years.
He graduated from Grafton High
School in 1936 and Worcester Boys
Trade School in 1938.
Mr. Nason owned and operated the former Nason's Greenhouse and Roadside
Farm Stand on Route
140 in North Grafton for many years. He was a lead inspector for the
Jamesbury Corp. in Worcester
for 20 years, retiring in 1980. He was a former member and chairman
of the Board of Trustees of the
Nelson Memorial Library and Park in North Grafton, past president of
the Grafton Parent-Teachers
Association and a member of the United Methodist Church in North Grafton.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in United Methodist Church,
10 Overlook St., North
Grafton. The Revs. Edwin Trench and Jean Trench will officiate. Burial
will follow in Riverside Cemetery
on Millbury Street in Grafton. Calling hours are from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday
in Robert C. Roney Funeral
Home, 152 Worcester St., the intersection of routes 140 and 122 in
