GRAFTON -- Jean W. (Davenport) Nason, 87, formerly of Grafton, died Sunday, Feb. 23, in the
Christopher House, Worcester.

Her husband, William Nason, died in 1991. She leaves a daughter, Bonnie Jean Frederico of Grafton; a
son, Donald F. Nason of Millbury; a sister, Aurilla Richardson of North Grafton; five grandchildren, and
a step-grandchild. Two sisters, Phyllis Ford and Fayre Nason, predeceased her. She was born in
Danvers, daughter of Stearns L. and Alice C. (Wing) Davenport, and moved here in 1920. She
graduated in 1933 from Grafton High School and in 1935 from Becker Junior College.

Mrs. Nason was a secretary for the state Department of Mental Health at Grafton State Hospital and
Glavin Regional Center in Shrewsbury. She was a member of Rachel Chapter 61, Order of the Eastern
Star, the Massachusetts Retired State, County and Municipal Employment Association, and the Grafton
Senior Citizens Group. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of North Grafton.

The funeral will be held Wednesday, Feb. 26, from Robert C. Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester
St., North Grafton, with a service at 10 a.m. in the United Methodist Church of North Grafton, 10
Overlook St., North Grafton. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m.
Tuesday, Feb. 25, in the funeral home. Donations may be made to the North Grafton United Methodist
Church, 10 Overlook St., North Grafton, MA 01536.
