organization.
Mrs. Palmer was a member of
Brandy Springers, Mercer; and the Organ Club, a music club of Valley Organ,
hermitage.
She was a winner of several
awards for her oil paintings and was renouned for her organ and piano playing
throughout the valley.
Surviving are: her husband,
Kenneth Eugene Palmer, Sr., whom she married July 14, 1937; a daughter, Mary
Ellen Davey, Sharpsville; two sons, Kenneth E., Jr., Oil City; and David G.,
WOODSFIELD, Ohio; a brother, Gene Rice, Seneca, Pa.; a twin brother, George Rice,
Lenexa, Ks.; three sisters, Mrs. Bernard (Mildred) Neal, Slippery Rock; Mrs.
James (Beula) Jones, New Wilmington; and Gladys Corner, Cochranton; nine
grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by
four brothers, Paul, Harold, Budd and Jack Rice; and a sister, Mable Martin.

Funeral services for Warren
Russel Starkey, 74, of White Oak Circle, Crossville, who passed away May 24,
1997, were held May 27 at Liberty Baptist Church, with burial in Green Acres
Memory Gardens.
He was born Aug. 4, 1922, in

grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters Margaret Dalyrmple, Carol

father, Russel Starkey; mother, Elizabeth Brown; stepfather, Clyde Brown;
sister, Bernice Brown; and brothers Chester and Roy Brown.

K. Hines, Jr.
The Rev. Billy Smith officiated.
Bilbrey Funeral Home was in
