From Tasmania several detachments sailed for Western Australia , Swan River and King George Town. More divisions of the Regiment sailed on the " Runnymede " in 1839 The Regiment left in 1846 to serve to Bengal.

This Regiment began its military term in 1754 but was know only as the 51st (American Provincials) Regiment of Foot .

1881......1st Battalion of The King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry
