Descendants of the Johann Wilhelm and the Andreas Vollbrecht/Volprecht families founded the non-profit Fulbright Family Association in 1991. Membership is open to individuals with the name of, or any of the descendants of, or spouses of all those of the family name FULBRIGHT, or any of its variant spellings.

Annual dues are presently $5.00 per family, which includes all those members of a single family living in one home. All members in good standing have one vote, otherwise you are welcome to attend business meetings but may not vote. Dues are expected to be paid voluntarily every second year. We can't afford to dun you for ten bucks! Cash contributions are tax deductible and exceedingly helpful. Membership applications may be downloaded by clicking right HERE to copy a plain text file that you can use in your word processor, or you may click HERE to download a zipped file.

Our Purpose is to keep in touch with family members through the "Fulbright Connection" e-mail group and by the Fullbright Page on GenForum; publish a family newsletter; plan future reunions, events and activities; share information and maintain family memorabilia, photos, documents and legends for those who follow; and to preserve the history of our past and present families by researching and documenting our origins and our ancestor's lives.

We hope you will enjoy this site and help in its improvement. Please respect our copyright by not copying material from these pages for posting on other web sites, nor for publishing in newsletters. Such actions are expressly denied.

Family Reunions
Are held the last weekend in June and have been held in Springfield, Missouri, where the association was founded and at other points of great historical interest to the family, such as in Jackson, Missouri, and in Canton and Hickory, North Carolina, and one year in Fulbright, Texas. In 2002 it was located in Lebanon, Missouri, with Vera Harrill our hostess, and in 2003 Judy Fulbright graciously hosted the reunion held at beautiful Lake Junaluska, North Carolina. In 2004 our reunion was held in Pennsylvania ,   The 2005
Reunion is now scheduled for Batesville, Arkansas with Gerald Fulbright as the Host.
We hope to see you there.
